Internal Applied Research (IAR) and Graduation Projects (GP) Policy.
Overview: ADPoly wishes to sponsor internal applied research, scholarly activities, and graduation projects among faculty and students. This policy outlines the key principles for the internal fund allocated for research and graduation projects across ADPoly in order to provide standardization and consistency.
Policy: ADPoly encourages and sponsors IAR and GP that are aligned with the ADPoly’s research priorities, national agenda, community, industry and collaborate with other higher education institutions to allocate financial and administrative resources. The funding will be allocated for applied research and scholarly activities, graduation projects, intellectual property (IP) registration and Patent filling.
Application: This policy is applied in concurrence with research and scholarly activities, graduation projects policy manuals and procedures. The ADPoly Director, Heads of Departments, Research Committee (RC), Research and Innovation Unit (RIU), Graduation Project Unit (GPU), and faculty all have the collective responsibility to apply these policies and procedures.
External Applied Research Policy (EARP).
Overview: ADPoly encourages faculty and students to secure applied research and scholarly activities funding. This policy outlines the key principles of managing research external funds across ADPoly in order to provide standardization and consistency.
Policy: ADPoly encourages faculty and students to secure external research funding in support of their research and scholarly activities that aligned with our research priorities, national agenda, community, industry and support collaboration with other higher education institutions. The purpose of this policy is to provide a clear statement of ADPoly’s expectations, requirements, and practices of research management. Secured funding is often subject to an agreement with the funding body.
Application: This policy is applied in concurrence with the research and scholarly activities manual and procedures. ADPoly is committed to providing a sustainable and interactive system to streamline the management of funds across the institute.

Consultancy Services Policy (CSP)
Overview: Consultancy and training services offered by ADPoly to third parties have direct and indirect costs; in some cases, a commercial value, too. To support a high-quality research environment at ADPoly, it is essential that all eligible costs are recovered from fund providers.
Policy: ADPoly encourages faculty and staff to engage in independent consultancy and training services in order to maintain expertise and enhance the reach and reputation of the institution. This policy provides clear rules for engagement and procedures for proper initiation, development, conduct, and administration of consultancy and training services for third parties.
Application: This policy is applied in concurrence with the Consultancy Services Policy Manual and Procedure. ADPoly is committed to providing a sustainable and interactive system to streamline the management of funds across the institute.
